Dunietz was a student of Classical piano under Professor Alexander Volkov and performed at the Israel Festival with John Zorn’s Cobra concert. She also joined the Israeli band Eatliz in 2003 as a lead singer and wrote most of the album’s lyrics (which was released only after Dunietz left the band). Givol Choir was an Avant-garde vocal group that Dunietz created in 2003. It featured musicians who were already well-known for their diverse styles and music. The choir performed five programs between 2003 and 2008. Dunietz composed the music and was the musical director of Garinim, directed and produced by Ariel Efraim Ashbel. The play won best play and best musical score in Acco Festival of Alternative Israeli Theatre 2003. A Givol Choir group performed the music for this symbolic visual theatre project. Dunietz has been Ashbel’s resident composer since then and also wrote the music for its subsequent projects. She was a part of Breathing Down To Zero, Rona Keinan’s first album. She has performed with Clarinet player Harold Rubin since 2004 and until 2008. These improv shows were held weekly and attracted a small but loyal following. They were mostly held in Tel Aviv’s West Bank club. Dunietz joined The Midnight Peacocks in 2005, a Tel Aviv-based hard-core rock band. They play music they call “circus-core”, which is a mix of oriental, cabaret, and hard-core. She recorded the debut album of The Peacocks, It’s an awful machine. Dunietz continues to perform with the band occasionally as a guest vocalist. She also recorded an album in 2005 with Jean Claude Jones and Friends. She also composed Surprise1 in 2005, a piece for voice and piano. It was performed at the Rowdyism festival. She performed alongside Roy Yarkoni’s compositions at the New Waves concert series by the Musica Nova group. This was titled The Milk Underground and featured the poetry of Ronny Mostck. Dunietz performed a Duet with David Broza at the Piano festival in Tel Aviv in November 2005. She also performed a solo concert entitled “Boogy Woogy and Honky Tonk & Blues – Cat House Piano” at the same festival. This was a tribute to Jelly roll Morton, Scott Joplin and Lucille Bogan. Dunietz shocked the crowd when she appeared on stage with her blackface, protesting the blackface phenomenon in early 20th century American Jazz.
